Dutch Master Daffodil Bulbs
Beskrivning
A cheerful bloom for early spring gardens
Daffodils, especially the Dutch Master variety, are renowned for their vibrant yellow blooms that herald the arrival of spring. Each bag includes 10–12 bulbs, making it easy to create cheerful groupings throughout garden beds and borders. These hardy perennials thrive in various soil types and offer a burst of color to any landscape. Their beauty is complemented by their resilience; these flowers are deer resistant, ensuring that your garden remains unscathed by wandering wildlife.
In addition to their stunning appearance, daffodils are low maintenance and water-wise, making them an ideal choice for busy gardeners or those looking to conserve resources. They help in erosion control, stabilizing soil while blooming beautifully. Planting these charming daffodils with other spring flowering bulbs like crocus and tulips creates weeks of nonstop color.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Dig a hole 6 inches deep and place the bulb with the pointed end facing up. Space bulbs about 6 inches apart for optimal growth.
2. Watering: Water your daffodils immediately after planting to help establish the roots. Once established, they are quite drought-tolerant, needing little additional watering unless there is an extended dry period.
3. Pruning: After blooming has finished, allow the foliage to die back naturally as this helps the bulb store energy for next season. Once the leaves turn yellow, you can trim them back to the ground.
4. Fertilizing: These daffodils typically do not require heavy fertilization. A light application of a balanced fertilizer in early spring can give them a boost, but they will thrive in most garden soil without it.
