Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Space plants 3–4 feet apart to provide room for their mature, arching growth.

2. Watering: Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season. Once established, water when the soil is dry several inches down; avoid consistently wet or poorly drained conditions.

3. Pruning: Cut back old or frost-damaged growth in late winter or early spring. Light trimming during the growing season can encourage fuller growth, but avoid heavy pruning once flower buds begin forming.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring if growth is weak or soil is poor. Rich soil and frequent feeding are unnecessary and may produce excessive foliage with fewer flowers.
