This drought-tolerant evergreen features soft, arching blue-green leaves that create a relaxed, fountain-like form. Its flexible foliage is much less rigid than that of many spiky yuccas, making it a practical choice near walkways, patios, and other well-used spaces.

With age, it develops a short trunk or multi-stemmed structure that adds year-round shape and texture to the landscape. In late spring or summer, tall central stalks carry clusters of fragrant, bell-shaped, creamy white flowers.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with full sun and sharply draining soil. Avoid low areas where water collects, and allow enough room for the foliage to spread naturally.

2. Watering: Water deeply after planting and regularly during the first growing season while roots establish. Once established, water only when the soil has dried thoroughly, as overly wet conditions can cause root rot.

3. Pruning: Remove damaged or fully brown leaves as needed, cutting them close to the base. Trim spent flower stalks after blooming and avoid cutting into healthy central growth.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilizer is rarely necessary. If growth appears weak, apply a light dose of balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring and avoid overfeeding.
